ACT Statement on Baucus-Camp Tour Stop in Philadelphia and Lawrenceville

Washington, D.C. Today, the Alliance for Competitive Taxation (ACT) issued the following statement regarding Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp's (R-MI) Simpler Taxes for America Tour stops in Philadelphia, PA and Lawrenceville, NJ:

"Chairman Baucus and Chairman Camp's bipartisan tour is another sign of growing momentum behind reforming America's outdated tax system to make it simpler and fairer. If we can get tax reform done, hard-working families and businesses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will benefit from a stronger economy, more jobs, and increased investments in America. We have kicked the can down the road long enough and it has left America with a tax code designed for the past, not the future. We look forward to working with Congress and the Administration to advance comprehensive tax reform that reduces the corporate rate, adopts global tax rules that help American companies compete overseas, and ends corporate tax breaks and preferences without adding to the deficit. Our workers and businesses are the best in the world, it's time they have a tax system to match."
