ACT Statement on the Release of Chairman Camp's Tax Reform Discussion Draft

Washington, D.C. Today, the Alliance for Competitive Taxation (ACT) issued the following statement regarding House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp tax reform discussion draft:

"ACT commends Chairman Camp for taking another step today to move comprehensive tax reform forward.  Tax reform should create an internationally competitive tax code that promotes U.S. jobs and economic growth, simplifies the code and helps America compete in the modern, global economy.

"We believe tax reform should build on the best elements of Chairman Camp's draft, but more work is needed to ensure the final legislation strengthens the competitiveness of all U.S. companies, helping to create economic growth and U.S. jobs that will move our nation forward in today's global economy.  We look forward to working with Chairman Camp, Chairman Wyden, Congressional Leaders, and the Obama Administration to reform our tax system."
